Teacher Introduction to Youth Take A Stand

• First, introduce the campaign to your group by using the interactive Bible-based activity (PDF) in a group session.

• At the end of the group session, encourage your group to go home and visit the Stand With Africa web site to learn more about the campaign. Ask them to fill out the Note page (PDF) and bring it back to the next meeting so they can be a part of a follow up discussion.

• At your next group session, spend the first part of the session talking about what the group learned on the web site. Use the "Note page" as discussion guide. Spend the next portion of your session discussing how your group can raise funds and awareness for the campaign in your church or school.

• Follow through with your goals to support the campaign and have a representative from your group sign the message board (to be online soon) on the Youth Take A Stand site. Explain what your group did to support the campaign so you can share your ideas with other youth groups and also become apart of the "Nifty 150!"

• Use the other supplemental materials from the teacher's list on this site to help keep youth focused on the mission of the campaign.
